Sony BDP S550
Blu Ray Review
The Sony BDP S550 shows just what Sony Blu ray technology is capable of. The BDP S550 has been described as 'the ultimate Blu-ray experience'
and offers you the great option of BD-Live and BD-Java firmware built-in. There is also 1GB of USB storage built in so you can save your
downloaded content and extras from the internet.
It is also capable of supporting DTS-HD Master Audio with 7.1-channel analogue audio allowing it to be connected direct to a home theatre
receiver without need the for HDMI. It also utilizes Sony's XrossMediaBar interface and sync up with all BRAVIA kit.
This player will give you great vision and your Blu-Ray discs will be clear and bright. It also has the bonus of being able to show your
existing DVD’s to their very best as this player has the ability to upscale to 1080p via the HDMI output.
The BDP S550 has been made to look sleek and stylish with a blue-tinted reflective front panel and a backlit remote control which will
make this player a pleasure to both use and view.
