Pioneer BDP LX71
Pioneer Blu Ray Player Review
The Pioneer BDP LX71 lets you watch your Blu ray films at 1080p resolution and to the exact standard that they were produced and designed to play.
The player also supports HDMI Deep Colour giving the image depth and clarity of colour and with outstandingly smooth motion. The BDP LX71 has a
number of outputs including an HDMI socket to allow you to get the best quality high-definition 1080p video to your television.
Not only do you get a great image with the Pioneer BDP-LX71 but you also get quality audio too. This player comes with Wolfson Digital Audio Converters
to provide you with an unrivalled sound experience. To further enhance this, the BDP LX71 can support Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD Master Audio, DTS-HD
High Resolution and Dolby True HD so you know that you will be getting superior quality. To make the most of this you will of course need good quality
speakers and a Pioneer AV receiver.
For some the main drawback with this player is that it is only a profile 1.1 Blu-ray player. You also do not get an Ethernet socket and are therefore
unable to download additional and bonus content via the Internet.
As far as ease of use goes, the Pioneer LX71 has a well designed user interface. The menus that is has are uncomplicated and offer easy navigation for
even the novice.
The Pioneer BDP LX71 is perhaps not the cheapest player out there and would be more suited to those who intend to build the whole matching AV system.
In terms of value for money, this player is of excellent quality, it just really depends if the lack of BD Live is of great concern to you.
